BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The members of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board are drawn from 3 of Ghana’s universities, which are

University of Cape Coast, University of Ghana, Legon, and University of Education, Winneba. The Board of Directors and Members of the Advisory Board have extensive experience working under donor-funded projects including United States Agency for International Development (USAID), German Society of Technical Collaboration (GTZ), Department for International Development (DFID), United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and World Bank.

PERMANENT STAFF

Executive Director: Emma Afriyie Gyamera

Ms.Gyamera, the Executive Director, is a co-founder and owner of EARC. She has worked in this capacity for the past 18 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from University of Roehampton Business School, London and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Ghana.She has held various positions in the organization: She was the Deputy Chief Of Party from 2001-to 2002 for then, The Mitchell Group supported project Performance Monitoring and Evaluation. She was Technical Supervisor from 2000-to 2001 and, EMIS (Data Base) Specialist from 1998-to 2000.Ms. Gyamera is a transformational leader, who excels at the leadership task by delegating and adopting an all-inclusive policy. She is a good organizer and a team player who ensures that goals are achieved.  She has worked with government agencies like the Ghana Education Service (GES), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ghana Statistical Service. She has also worked with donor agencies, such as USAID, DFID, UNICEF, World Bank as well as numerous local and international NGOs.

 

Emmanuel Mankattah: Technical Director Holds a Masters in Development Management and has over fifteen years’ experience in education research and community development.  He’s worked as Field Coordinator for the first ever nationwide distribution of Teaching and Learning materials to all 170 district education offices of Ghana during the implementation of NALAP. He was a monitoring officer for the Innovation Development Progress (IDP) tranche 2 and 3 projects in Ghana. He was the Field Coordinator for the PAGE baseline project. He also facilitated the training program for data collectors of the Omega school survey project. He has excellent computer skills and was tangerine expert during the EGRA/EGMA training. He was the facilitator for the WHO Health Academy e-learning training for 150 district ICT coordinators. He is responsible for providing technical direction on decisions and execution of specific projects. As Technical Director, he is also responsible for supervising the technological functions of the organization. His duties include analyzing the operations budget to determine strategies for using technology within the company, coordinating equipment purchases and interpreting project briefs to identify a needs and project specifications.

 

Kwadwo Baning: Deputy Technical Director Mr. Baning holds a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Ashesi University, Ghana. He is an IT specialist with a special interest in education policy and curriculum development. He is a former International Baccalaureate Accredited teacher. His technical areas include Project management, data management and training. He is a Master Trainer and a Trainer of Trainers and perform monitoring and supervision roles to ensure participants are carrying out data collection requirements. He has worked on many projects that has been very successful such as EGRA/EGMA Ghana, NINPEP EGRA/EGMA in Nigeria, LEGO Play Measurement. He works closely with Technical Director to outline technical roadmap and requirements to successfully implement EARC projects. Supports Executive Director and technical team project design. He is tasked with handling technology support during implementation of EGRA/EGMA studies. He is guided by trust, respect, integrity, discipline, hard work and self-motivation.

 

Ransford Akrong: Human Resource Manager holds a Msc. International Development Policies and Practices from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. As a Human Resource Manager, he is responsible for the welfare of employees of the organization as well as assisting with the day-to-day administrative duties in the office. Since joining EARC he has also worked to prepares instruments, and supported data collection activities. He is an experienced qualitative expert who conducts qualitative research experiments, analyzes data and summarizes results, Fact checks and proofreads manuscripts. He generates graphs and spreadsheets to portray data results. Maintains research equipment.

 

Kwaku Boateng: Research Manager Mr. Boateng is a very competent and experienced master trainer especially in education assessment protocols. He has trained and Supervised Enumerators in the use of EGRA/EGMA instruments including the Luminous EGRA/EGMA. During the implementation of the Lego Foundation project, Mr. Boateng was solely responsible for logistics planning and played a vital role in the training of assessors. He has remarkable leadership qualities in the area of logistics planning, updating of instruments, training and field monitoring. Mr. Boateng is mainly responsible for training, supervision, and reporting. He is a disciplined, hardworking and self-motivated individual. Mr. Boateng is a good team player. 

 

Isaac Abloh: Director of Finance for EARC and holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central University Ghana. He has over twenty years financial management experience on education development projects sponsored by donors including the World Bank, Global Fund, UNICEF, Lancet Foundation, LEGO Foundation and USAID. From 1998 to 2002, he was the Accountant on the USAID-Sponsored PME Project implemented by TMG. In that position, he maintained the required financial documentation for tracking and reporting to USAID. He has been the Director of Finance for EARC since 2009, planning and managing administrative support and providing financial management services for all the studies and projects implemented by the organization, including USAID sponsored like, EQUALL, QUIPS, EGRA-EGMA, etc. He has extensive experience in budget preparation and managing multi-million funded projects.

 

Charity Owusu: Administrative Manager Ms. Owusu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Methodist University College, Ghana. She has over 20 years’ experience in providing administrative support to projects. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the organization. Her day to day activities includes providing logistics support for workshops and liaising with stakeholders. She also provides high-level administrative support to executive or director-level employees. Collects requested data and information from various sources including email and other correspondence, meeting minutes and records, and other documents; prepares summaries of findings and/or other related written correspondence as requested. Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments. Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings, conferences, and other assigned events. Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions. Performs other general clerical and secretarial duties as requested, which may include recordkeeping, managing petty cash, maintaining office supplies and coordinating equipment maintenance, and handling packages and correspondence. 

 

AUXILIARY STAFF

EARC has well trained and experienced auxiliary staffs, who work either as consultants or data collectors across the country. This includes medical practitioners, GES staff, language experts, Education and Health Consultants.
